Osteoporosis Wellness Program

Did you know that approximately one in two women over age 50 will have an Osteoporosis related fracture at some point in their lifetime? And that the majority of risk factors are potentially modifiable? Osteoporosis is a major health threat, particularly to women, but with the appropriate information can be prevented. The Osteoporosis Wellness Program is a six-week course offered at the Comp Rehab Plaza. The goal of the program is to provide exercise and education to assist the participant in reducing their risk and potentially improving their bone density. The Program incorporates weight bearing exercise (2days per week) and education (1 day per week). For those individuals interested in continuing with the exercise program, a maintenance program is offered at a reduced rate. For more information please call 336-713-2029.
