- Wake Forest Baptist is home to northwestern North Carolina’s only full service children’s hospital, Brenner Children’s Hospital, with subspecialists in more than 30 areas of medicine and the region’s only Level IV neonatal nursery.

- Wake Forest Baptist is home to North Carolina’s first Gamma Knife, a non-invasive procedure that avoids open neurosurgery, performed by one of the most experienced treatment teams in the U.S. It is home to the state’s only MEG (magnetoencephalography) unit, which images brain function and enhances neurosurgical accuracy.
