Research Activities
Frequently collaborating with investigators in Cancer Biology, Microbiology & Immunology, and Biochemistry, Tumor Biology faculty conduct research in anti-tumor immunity, the prognostic factors in various cancers, the role of hormone therapy in breast cancer, and genetic regulation of tumor growth.
Dr. Zheng Cui and Dr. Mark Willingham are conducting ongoing studies in cancer resistance in mice; their studies of spontaneous cancer remission in mice have led to the discovery that the immunity appears to be transferable from one mouse to another. They will soon begin preliminary investigations in human patients.
