The J. Paul Sticht Center on Aging and Rehabilitation is a state-of-the-art geriatric clinical and research center which combines the resources of the Department of Psychiatry, the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, and the Section on Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine of the Department of Internal Medicine. The Center was named in honor of its benefactor J. Paul Sticht, who contributed the funding to establish the Center. This $40 million facility opened in 1997 and is the first facility in the world to incorporate geriatric acute care, transitional care, psychiatry, rehabilitation, and clinical research under one roof.

The J. Paul Sticht Center on Aging is the umbrella under which a comprehensive array of clinical and research programs reside.  These include the Section on Geriatrics and Gerontology of the Department of Internal Medicine, the Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center, the Geriatric Research Center, the Oristano Program, and the Roena Kulynych Center for Memory and Cognition Research.
