Denise K. Houston is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Section on Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Dr. Houston received her MS in Nutrition from the University of Georgia and her PhD in nutrition, with a minor in epidemiology, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed a research fellowship in the Section on Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Dr. Houston is a junior faculty member of the Research Career Development Core in the Wake Forest Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center where she is conducting research on the role of weight history, dietary patterns, and micronutrient status on physical function among older adults.
