Jingzhong Ding, M.D., Ph.D.

http://www1.wfubmc.edu/NR/rdonlyres/D4DE757D-0784-45CA-BE6C-E961317F693B/71243/image001_1914596960.jpgDr. Jingzhong Ding is an Assistant Professor of internal medicine in the Section on Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine.  He received his medical degree from the Bengbu Medical College in China and his PhD degree in Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health at Baltimore, MD.  Following his training at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Ding completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute on Aging.  He served as a faculty member in the Department of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health until joining the WFU faculty in July 2004.  Dr. Ding has experience and expertise in developing research questions that make use of existing data in large cohort studies of the elderly including the Cardiovascular Health Study and the Health Aging and Body Composition Study.  His current research interests include body composition and its related health conditions in older adults.
