The Director of the Patient Simulation Laboratory, Dr. John Thomas, is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology who enjoys teaching a variety of residents and students, particularly in the PSL.  The Assistant Director of the Lab, Dr. Ashley Tonidandel, Assistant Professor, enjoys teaching both obstetrical and general anesthesia.  Dr. Michael A. Olympio, founder of the Simulation Laboratory, is a Professor of Anesthesiology who still enjoys spending time actively teaching Anesthesiology residents and medical students in the Simulation Laboratory. Ian Saunders, Cer. A.T. is the Patient Simulation Laboratory Coordinator. He is in charge of the day-to-day operations and keeps the Sim Lab running smoothly, in addition to teaching multiple groups. A team of "Simulation Specialists" provide representatives from various departments to extend the utilization of the learning center. For example, these specialists might come from Nurse Anesthesia, OR Nursing, Pharmacology, or any branch of Medicine or Surgery. Assistant instructors frequently accompany a group to the PSL, but do not physically control or program the simulator.
