Quality Assurance and Continuous Quality Improvement Programs are becoming increasingly important in the health care environment. The Medical Center offers a quality assurance program for the practicing physician that includes patient satisfaction measures, development of clinical pathways and outcomes measures. The Health Services Research Center and the Resource Utilization and Outcomes Management Program are working in partnership with community physicians to develop practice profiles and new cost-effective ambulatory services for the offices of practicing physicians.
