Education Programs

Our program of grand rounds, teaching conferences, mini-fellowships, postgraduate courses and lectures helps area physicians learn about the latest advances in medicine. Educational programs for health care professionals are provided. Training and education is also available through the Northwest Area Health Education Center, which offers student/resident rotations, workforce recruitment and retention programs, and a nationally recognized Library Information Network.

Health Promotion/Wellness Education

Our Wellness and Prevention Services promotes wellness through a variety of programs such as health screenings, programs in schools, a speakers' bureau. Wellness and Prevention Services can help network members develop similar programs in their communities, or arrange community screenings through Health on Wheels, our unique mobile screening and education program for cardiovascular disease and hypertension.

Information Systems

An information network that links The Medical Center and affiliate physicians, clinics, hospitals, and payers is benefiting patients and providers alike. Providers use the network to obtain results and handle registration, scheduling, orders, referrals and eligibility - increasing efficiency and saving money through reduced paperwork. Patients have a smoother, more coordinated experience with the health care system.
