Pediatric Therapy Program
Physical Therapy
The Pediatric Physical Therapist work to optimize function at home and in the community. They work with children and young adults with medical and/or developmental disabilities. They are specialized in providing services for:
v Gross Motor – addressing mobility and balance skills
v Joint mobility – soft tissue mobility and functional joint motion
v Neuromuscular – muscle recruitment, strength, power generation, endurance, gradation of movements
v Adaptive Equipment – wheeled mobility, assistive devices for walking, standing, and self-care skills
v Biomechanical Alignment – fabrication of molds for orthotics, serial casting, splinting.
v Post-Surgical Intervention – rehab techniques utilizing the above areas
