Pelvic Pain and Incontinence

Physical therapy treatment for pelvic pain and incontinence focuses on normalizing muscle tone of the pelvic floor and restoring musculoskeletal balances between the pelvis, sacrum, and hips. Your treatment may include biofeedback for muscle re-education, exercise, stretching, heat, ultrasound, manual therapy, and electrical stimulation to address pain and discomfort. Additionally, patients are educated about self-care strategies and lifestyle modifications. Evaluation may include internal examination if deemed necessary by your therapist.
