Individualized Program
This quarterly six-week program meets at CompRehab Plaza at 131 Miller Street.  Each participant works with an Exercise Coordinator to develop an individualized plan to promote the retention of bone density.

On Monday and Thursday of each week, participants follow their individualized exercise program tht includes five types of exercise: weight bearing, aerobic, muscle strengthening, flexibility, and balance activities.  The exercise program is available from 12pm-2pm on Monday and Thursday.  An evening class will be offered if the noon class is full and a minimum of 5 are committed to evening time.  Each Wednesday, health educators discuss the latest information related to osteoporosis.  Topics include nutrition, pain management, medication options and proper lifting techniques.  The education session is for five weeks beginning the second week on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:00 pm.  A light lunch is served.

At the end of the six-week period, participants are given two options.  They may either progress to a home or gym-based exercise program or continue in an onsite maintenance program with minimal supervision by an Exercise Coordinator.

How to Register
The cost per person to participate in the osteoporosis program is $40 per week ($240 per six-week session).  A new series begins every quarter and class size is limited to a minimum of 5 per class and maximum of 10 per class to allow for individualized attention.
