Sensory Re-education

The nerves in the hand are special and are more sensitive than other parts of the body.  When a person has an injury to a nerve, a program of sensory reeducation can minimize discomfort and improve sensation. Depending on the severity of the injury, sensory re-education can make the difference between a functional and a non-functional hand.
