Brief Summary of Research:
Our research centers on genetic and environmental factors that contribute to individual differences in health across the lifespan. The research approach is longitudinal and integrative, using nonhuman primates as a model organism that can provide an effective platform for understanding the complex developmental pathways and points at which individual differences in risk and resilience to disease and disability emerge. In turn, this basic understanding provides productive avenues of discovery for development and evaluation of prevention, intervention, and treatment strategies to promote healthy human development.
