IMPORTANT INFORMATION! PLEASE READ IMMEDIATELY!
Dear House Officer,
Congratulations on your new position here at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center! The Employee Health Services Center is here to serve you in a variety of ways. We provide services to over 11,000 Medical Center employees, students, and volunteers. Our services range from a free Acute Care Clinic to handle personal or work related illnesses and/or injuries-as well as immunization programs, influenza immunization, etc. As in any other health care institution, most of our services involve regulations and polices that must be met if you are to become a member of our Medical Center Team.
Before you are employed by the Medical Center, you will need to schedule a new hire screening appointment. This is accomplished by calling Employee Health Services at 336-716-4801. You will need to bring your immunizations records and any health information with you so that we can create a health file on you. The Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center also requires all new employees to submit to a drug screen. This will be handled here as part of your new hire screening. It is imperative that the new hire screening be performed prior to beginning employment.
The Employee Health Services Center is open Monday-Friday and is closed on Weekends and holidays. We are located on Ground Floor, Meads Hall. Our hours of operation are 7:00 am- 4:30 pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Thursday, we close at 3:30 pm. It will be necessary, however, to schedule the new hire screening between 8:00 am and 3:30 pm to assure all testing can be completed.
In order to help us prepare for your arrival it is of great importance that you fill out the attached form. Please return it to ehftdesk@wfubmc.edu within the next 10 days.
Please plan to complete this process as early as possible. You will not have time for this screening process once you have started to work! Please call today to set up your screening.
Sincerely,
Scott J. Spillmann, MD, MPH
