There will be ACLS/BCLS classes offered on Thursday and Friday,  June 12-13 or June 19-20.  PALS/BCLS will be offered on Thursday and Friday, June 26-27.  BCLS only will be offered at 1300 on June 13, 20 and 27.  These classes are being provided for anyone who is unable to obtain this training prior to arrival. There a limited number of spaces available, so you are strongly encouraged to obtain this training prior to arrival. The classes on the 12-13 have been set up to accommodate the programs with early start dates. If you are in Internal Medicine or OB/GYN and are not certified and cannot get certified prior to your arrival, please register for this class. Submit your registration form directly to Life Support Education.**

Orientation Location:

  • All general sessions for Orientation will be held in the Babcock Auditorium located in the Babcock Building.
  • NCBH Human Resources is located on the 3rd Floor of Meads Hall.
  • House Staff Office is located on the Ground Floor of Meads Hall.
  • Creative Communications is located on First Floor, Gray Building.
  • Clinical Systems Training Rooms is located on the First Floor, Clinical Science Building

Parking for Orientation
All incoming house staff are requested to park in the “Employee Parking Deck” located on Hawthorne Road. This deck is normally secured and requires an Identification Badge to enter the gates. However, during House Staff Orientations, the gates will remain open to allow access to those involved in the Orientation. Once Orientation is completed and all new house staff have begun work, the Identification Badges will be required to enter the deck.

Information Required During Orientation
** You must bring to Orientation two (2) forms of identification, (drivers license, and social security card or birth certificate or one (1) form, an unexpired passport) You cannot begin your training program until these documents have been presented.

** In order to complete all of the Benefits information you will need to be bring the following information:

  1. Name of spouse and/or names of children
  2. Dates of birth of spouse and/or children
  3. Social Security numbers for spouse and/or children

Email House Staff Office if you have questions. Also, please email and let us know which orientation you plan on attending. This will not require you to only attend that orientation, if something changes and you need to change orientations, all you have to do is show up. However, if you can tell us which one you are planning on attending, it will help in our preparations.

** Special Note: All Internal Medicine interns must attend the first week of orientation.
