Council on Mind-Body Medicine: Started 2004
Co-chairs:
Jeffrey Feldman, PhD. (Neuropsychology, Neurology) and Kathi Kemper, MD, MPH (Pediatrics)

 

 


Mission:

The purpose of the Council on Mind-Body Medicine is to support and encourage collaboration on research to understand the effects and mechanisms of mind-body therapies, evidence-based and compassionate clinical care and education.

Definitions: Mind-body therapies encompass a diverse group of therapies including:

     Biofeedback
     Guided imagery
     Hypnosis
     Meditation
     Mindfulness-based stress reduction
     Music
     Yoga

Representatives:  Participants in the Council include individuals from Comprehensive Cancer Center, Comparative Medicine, Dermatology, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurosciences, Pediatrics, Neuropsychology/Neurology, Private Practice and Public Health Sciences.
