In addition to its four- or five-year combined anatomic and clinical pathology residency training program, the Pathology Department offers five fully-accredited year-long fellowships and a training program for medical technologists.
Medical Technology:
The Program in Medical Technology was established in 1942 as one of the professional schools of North Carolina Baptist Hospital and The Bowman Gray School of Medicine or Wake Forest University.
Pathology Fellowships:
The fellowships in Cytopathology, Dermatopathology, Forensic Pathology, Hematopathology, and Surgical Pathology offer the opportunity to acquire the advanced skills and experience needed to qualify for certification in these subspecialties.
Pathology Residency Training:
The Residency Program allows house officers four years to complete core rotations in anatomic and clinical pathology. A credentialing year is offered if needed during year five; this is tailored to the individual's prior experience and needs for completion of the certification requirements of the American Board of Pathology.
