Courtney Vick, CRNA, MSN

Clinical Education Coordinator

Courtney Vick has over 14 years’ experience as a nurse, including that as a CCRN in the coronary care unit prior to entering the field of nurse anesthesia. Courtney’s anesthesia education was at our own program, where she distinguished herself by achieving a 4.0 GPA, and receiving the Dean’s recognition award and the Chal Maree award of excellence.

As an alumna of our program, Courtney is well-versed in the intricacies of all of our clinical sites. She is interested in educational development, both within and outside of the typical realm of nurse anesthesia education. To that end, she has taken on projects such as developing and teaching a portion of the CNOR review course offered at the Medical Center. Committed to her own educational development, Courtney is also a Ph.D. student, with interest in acute and chronic pain, and the neurochemistry of pain transmission. She will be presenting a lecture on Ketamine and the pathogenesis of pain at this year's national meeting of the AANA.
