Activities

Stroke Inpatient Team Activities:

  • Attend Hospital Rounds with Stroke Attendings on Service
  • Multidisciplinary Stroke Team Meetings Daily
  • Attend Clinical Conferences of General Neurology, Stroke, and Rehabilitation
  • Evaluate Stroke Patients
  • Respond to Acute Stroke Calls for Possible t-PA or Inclusion in Clinical Trials
  • On-call the Same Days as the Inpatient Stroke Attending Physician

Other Activities:

  • Training in the Neuro-Ultrasound Laboratory
  • Clinical Trial Patient Follow-up in the WFUP Clinic
  • Participation in Outpatient Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease Clinics with Stroke Physicians
  • Participate in Neuro-Rehabilitation Activities
  • Participate and Review of Ongoing Clinical Research Projects
  • Attend One National Stroke Meeting Per Year
  • Attend Local Stroke Symposiums

(Clinical activities must be under supervision, unless the Fellow is a graduate of a United States medical school, has completed Residency training in the United States, or has successfully completed all steps of the USMLE examination process, so that an Institutional license can be obtained.)
