Title: Ultrasound in Patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

This is a study to determine if the cross-sectional area of peripheral nerves is different in patients with ALS versus normal healthy control subjects. Neuromuscular Ultrasound (NMUS) has the potential to measure both muscle and nerve size. This study will use NMUS to determine if there is a statistical difference between neuromuscular ultrasound measurements in patients with ALS and normal healthy controls.
Inclusion Criteria: 1) Male and Female individuals with a diagnosis of ALS
2) Normal healthy individuals, male or female, with no known neurological or movement disorders.
