Title: Ultrasound in Patients with Neuromuscular Disorders being followed in the MDA Clinic

Principal Investigator: Michael Cartwright, M.D.

The goal of this study is to gain knowledge of the ultrasonographic changes seen in a variety of neuromuscular diseases. In an effort to better understand neuromuscular diseases and the ultrasonographic changes associated with these diseases, we would like to establish a database of neuromuscular ultrasound findings from patients in the MDA Clinic at Wake Forest. Ultrasound will be performed using a high-frequency probe to study both nerves and muscles. The nerves and muscles studied will vary based on the disease and distribution of symptoms.

Inclusion Criteria: All individuals including children ages 3 and over with a clinical diagnosis of neuromuscular disease, being followed in the Wake Forest University Health Sciences MDA Clinic, will be allowed to participate.

Exclusion Criteria:
Individuals with a diagnosis that is not one of the conditions covered by the MDA
