Fellowship Training

Neurorehabilitation
Director: Martin Childers, D.O., Ph.D.

We offer one or two year fellowships in neurorehabilitation, the clinical science of guiding and sustaining the rehabilitation of patients with neurological injury or disease.  Fellows participate in the care of inpatients and outpatients with stroke, head injury, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, and neuromuscular disorders.  Inpatients are treated in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital.  Multiple elective experiences are available including EMG, pediatric neurorehabilitation, pain management, and treatment of acute spinal column musculoskeletal pain. Outpatient training includes the use of botulinum toxin for treatment of spasticity and pain, and use of intrathecal baclofen pumps. Participation in ongoing studies of rehabilitation of motor function or other research studies is required. Please see the detailed program description in our brochure.
