Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center introduced the miracle of non-invasive, painless Gamma Knife technology to North Carolina. Our neurosurgeons were at the forefront of deep brain stimulator use. Wake Forest Baptist was a leader in BOTOX® use for migraine management…one of the first centers in the U.S. to train physicians to use it.

Highlights of Excellence

Gamma Knife Stereotactic Radiosurgery Unit North Carolina’s first Gamma Knife, operated by one of the nation’s most experienced treatment teams. Since 1999, the team has treated more than 2,000 patients with tumors of the brain, arteriovenous malformations and trigeminal neuralgia.
