Sectional anatomy forms the basis for understanding and interpretation of computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and ultrasonography (US). The Atlas of Sectional Anatomy was designed to correlate the anatomical sections with either CT or MRI or US images. With the increase sophistication of imaging it will be necessary to up date the anatomical sections.
