Organizational Structure

The Maya Angelou Research center on Minority Health will have integrated programs in research, community outreach (including health education) and career development and will coordinate activities and collaboration between Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Wake Forest University (Reynolda campus), Winston-Salem State University and various government, community and faith-based entities within Forsyth County

The physical structure of the Center is in the Wake Forest University School of Medicine.  The Center is organized as a multi-disciplinary, collaborative enterprise.  Within the medical school, it will closely work with other established centers to result in a synergism of efforts in a broad range of areas and to permit leveraging of resources to promote the development of minority health programs.
