Our clinical care and research is focused on understanding early changes in cognition and memory in older people and currently targets the following areas:

The relationship between chronic diseases (such as diabetes) and memory decline
The impact of medications on memory decline and memory preservation
Understanding basic mechanisms of memory loss
Evaluation and treatment of early memory decline in older adults

The Goal: to translate discoveries about preventing memory decline into helping older adults maintain independence as long as possible, and to compress disability into the shortest possible period of time.
