Tamer M. Yalcinkaya, M.D.

Dr. Yalcinkaya has been active in the fields of Reproductive Technology and Endocrinology-Infertility for 23 years.  He has extensive clinical experience in Endometriosis, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Infertility, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Reproductive Endocrinology, Assisted Reproductive Technology, and Fibroids.

Dr. Yalcinkaya received his M.D. with distinction from Istanbul University in Istanbul, Turkey going on to Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, NY for his residency.  He continued to learn his specialty by performing a Reproductive Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, CA.

Dr. Yalcinkaya joined the Wake Forest reproductive medicine staff as Associate Professor in 2005, and is currently Assisted Reproductive Technology Director.  He previously held concurrent positions as Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center of West Virginia University and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.  He was the ART Program Director and Interim Director, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology-Infertility at West Virginia University.  He has held many other academic and professional appointments.

He has participated in the publication of eight journal articles and 12 abstracts and he has participated in 15 grant studies.  Additionally, he has given numerous lectures and presentations on infertility and assisted reproduction. 

Dr. Yalcinkaya is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Endocrine Society, the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, and the Society of Reproductive Surgeons.  His research interests include Ovarian Physiology, Steroid Hormones, Endometriosis, and Fibroids.
