Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) Now Available at Wake Forest Winston Salem Campus-

Preimplantation genetic diagnosis is now available in conjunction with in vitro fertilization at the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Program at Wake Forest. PGD is used to diagnose many genetic diseases, such as Tay Sach’s and Sickle Cell Anemia, in embryos prior to replacement in the uterus. Wake Forest is the only facility in the region capable of performing PGD locally. Our Web site contains a description of PGD.
