Introduction

The Infectious Diseases Section provides expertise and leadership for two programs that improve the quality of medical care for the patients of Wake Forest University Medical Center. Click on the Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Control link on the sidebar to further explore what we are doing to prevent and control antimicrobial resistance and hospital acquired infections in the medical center.

The link to the Center for Antimicrobial Utilization, Stewardship and Epidemiology describes a program that is designed to assist the clinician on the appropriate choice and management of antimicrobial agents for the treatment and prevention of community and hospital acquired infections.
