| Greg Waters, M.D. Assistant Professor Hepatobiliary and Colorectal Surgery Publications | My name is Greg Waters and I am a colon and rectal surgeon. After completion of medical school at the East Carolina University School of Medicine (1990), I entered general surgical training at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital and completed general surgery there in 1996. I then completed a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in 1997, and began my position at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
My clinical interests span the gamut of colon and rectal surgery and include colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, polyposis syndromes. I attend on a busy general surgery service with residents and students. One of my priorities is the education of these students and residents within the framework of providing the best clinical care possible for our patients.
