| J. Jason Hoth, MD. Assistant Professor Trauma, SICU and Burn Surgery Publications | Dr. Hoth attended Louisiana State University for both his undergraduate and medical education. He completed his internship and General Surgical training at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical center. Then he completed fellowship training in Trauma/Critical Care at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He has been an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Wake Forest University since August, 2003.
His clinical interests include trauma/critical care and emergency general surgery. Dr. Hoth is in graduate school at Wake Forest University School of Medicine to obtain an advanced degree in Molecular Medicine, and has an active laboratory. His basic science research interests include the inflammatory response to injury, neutrophil activation and trafficking, and Toll-like Receptor-4. Clinical research interests include pulmonary contusion, nosocomial pneumonia, and posttraumatic empyema.
