Trained at the University of Washington in Seattle, where he received his M.D. degree in 1986. Following General Surgery Residency, he awarded an American Heart Association Research Fellowship in Vascular Biology and then completed his fellowship in General Vascular Surgery at the University of Washington in 1994.
Dr. Geary directs the Vascular Biology Laboratory where his NIH-funded basic research examines arterial injury and repair processes. Dr. Geary’s clinical interest includes carotid artery disease and restenosis following vascular reconstruction.
