General Description:
The Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Program offers a comprehensive one year training program to fellows who have completed a cardiovascular diseases fellowship. The fellowship provides extensive experience in all areas of electrophysiology and exposure to a wide variety of patients and arrhythmias.
Application Process:
You may apply anytime for the two CCEP Fellowships. Please submit your Curriculum Vitae and personal statement by email (hcleving@wfubmc.edu) or fax (336-716-7771). Please send at least three letters of recommendation, addressed to Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Attn: Dr. David Fitzgerald , CCEP Program Director, Department of IM/Section of Cardiology, Medical Center Blvd., Winston-Salem, NC 27157. One of the recommendation letters should be written by your Cardiovascular or Cardiology Fellowship Program Director, and another from the Division Chief of Cardiology at your present institution or an EP Cardiology Attending. Stipend & Benefit Information:
The stipend for Fellows is set annually by Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and is based upon PGY status.
Benefits include:
- 3 weeks of vacation annually, up to four weeks for leaves of absence
- Health, Life, Disability and Malpractice insurance
- National Meetings: (NASPE, ACC, AHA, etc.) Fellows may attend one national scientific meeting a year paid by the division. Such meetings do not count as vacation time.
