Application Information

To apply to the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship for General Cardiology Training 3 year and Masters of Epidemiology/General Cardiology Training 4 year programs, you must use the ERAS system.   Please go to the AAMC website ERAS Fellowships to obtain more information about applying to cardiovascular fellowship programs. Please indicate your interest in applying for either, or both, of the General Cardiology Training programs.  We do not accept J1 visas for our fellowships.   Applicants for our fellowship programs must have their green card or US citizenship, and should expect  completion of Internal Medicine training at an ACGME accredited institution prior to the Fellowship.

We require these documents to be in the ERAS system before we will evaluate you:

  • Common application form, Personal statement, Medical School Transcript
  • Three required letters of recommendation: One from your Program Director and two others from your present institution, preferably one from a faculty member in the Division of Cardiology
  • Wallet-sized color photograph
  • USMLE Transcripts
  • ECFMG Status Report (foreign medical graduates only)

We are considered a "December start date"  Fellowship program by ERAS.  We will be able to start downloading applicant files on December 1 and will continue downloading until January 14. Documents will be accepted from ERAS only.  Applicants selected for an interview will be notified by mail after January 15.  Interviews will be conducted in February through April.
