Recent Projects

 

Organizational Capacity of Free Clinics to Offer Preventive Health Services

This research study will create a systematic profile of all free medical clinics in NC using a survey of free clinic directors, on-site case studies, and secondary data sources.  Data obtained from this study will be used to write competitive extramural applications to improve preventive care in free clinics throughout North Carolina.

Personal Digital Assistance for Guideline Adherence (PDA GLAD)

The goal of this trial is to test the impact of a novel practice-based intervention; including the use of personal digital assistant (PDA) based decision support, on adherence with a complex clinical practice guideline in primary care practices.

Teaching Preventive Services - Are Family Practice Residency Faculty Ready?

The goal of this project was to develop a survey instrument to assess the knowledge, attitudes, and belief of family medicine faculty and resident’s related to clinical preventive services and the educational interventions used to teach about such services.
