The Family Medicine Department and Residency Program offer a broad array of conference and workshop opportunities designed to enrich faculty, pre-doctoral, residency and fellow education. The following is a partial list and brief description of the major conference and seminar areas.

* Grand Rounds Conference Series [View Schedule] [Archives]

This educational series is held twice per week on Tuesday and Thursday at 12:15 to 1:15 PM in the main department conference room. It is designed with a major focus on residency education and is scheduled by the chief residents. An eighteen-month cycle of core curriculum topics are covered.

 Resident Seminar [View Schedule]

This seminar series is held monthly on the second Tuesday afternoon following the resident meeting from 1:30 to 4:30 PM. This is a longer time block for learning and all residents are excused from their other responsibilities to attend. This time is preferentially set aside for hands-on workshop experiences and educational activities that need a longer time frame than the traditional one-hour conference slot.

Friday Sports Medicine Conference [View Schedule]

This conference series includes a number of special conference opportunities which are run monthly or bi-monthly and include: Morbidity and Mortality conferences, Sports Medicine Conferences, and Sports Medicine Journal Club and Quality Improvement Report Presentations by residents.
