Our team takes care of the facilities and equipment within the hospital to help ensure that our patients are cared for in a pleasant, clean and safe environment. This primarily involves the following:
- All electro-mechanical systems
The cleanliness of all hospital maintained buildings
- The provision of clean, comfortable and adequate linens
- The maintenance of all therapeutic and diagnostic (excluding imaging) equipment
- Assisting with compliance related to all regulatory requirements for the "Environment of Care" as defined by JCAHO
- Grounds care
- Distribution of electrical, chilled water and steam service
Our customers are defined as anyone who enters the hospital buildings.
Our goal is to be the single point of service response related to anything that needs to be cleaned or maintained (or know who does provide the service, if we don't)
There are four distinct teams within Facility Services that work together to provide the very best service for our customers. These include:
Clinical Equipment Management
Engineering Department
Housekeeping Department
Laundry / Linen Management
