Notes:

  • WFUBMC ED (Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center)
  • Peds ED (WFUBMC Pediatric ED)
  • FMC ED (Forsyth Medical Center)
  • All rotations are four-week blocks except plastic surgery which lasts for two weeks
  • Majority of clinical shifts in the ED are 8 hours in length
  • Several shifts per each WFUBMC block are scheduled in our pediatric ED This ensures that our residents will train in the Peds ED throughout the course of the year in order not to miss out on any of the common seasonal pediatric illnesses
  • Ob/Gyn rotation occurs at FMC, the county’s obstetrical hospital
  • Multiple elective opportunities available at WFUBMC (e.g., Toxicology, EMS, Areomedical Transport, Sports Medicine, Radiology, Ultrasound, Research, etc.)
