Intern Team Building Retreat
Prior to starting their internship, the new emergency medicine intern class of 2006 participated in a team building retreat on June 24th in Mooresville, NC at the Iredell County Parks and Recreation Ropes Challenge Course. Some of the goals set by the interns were to have fun, get to know each other better, and challenge themselves but what they took away was much more than this. They learned the importance of teamwork, trust, communication, collective IQ for problem solving, and conquered some of their fears, which should make them all a better emergency physician in the long run. In the end, everyone left the retreat giving it a “thumbs up” and ready to take on “internship”.
