TSI Announces the First TSI K-12 Recipients
The Translational Science Institute is pleased to announce the first recipients of the TSI K-12 awards:
Dr. Chadwick Miller, Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine-Surgery - Project: Randomized Cost Comparison of Cardiac MRI use in ED Patients with Chest Pain. Mentors: W. The TSI K-12 awards are designed to foster early career development of promising clinical and translational scientists by providing 75% salary support, mentoring and research supplies to individuals who have proposed innovative multidisciplinary team projects. These awards are part of a portfolio of new intramural grant mechanisms supported by the institution to stimulate translational research initiatives at the Medical Center. Additional announcements concerning the recipients of the TSI Team Development and Team Science Awards will be made later this year.
The selection process for these applications was extremely challenging as there were many highly competitive applicants. The TSI Directors wish to extend well deserved congratulations to the recipients and their mentors.
