Sarah Edwards, M.D. is a former Heisman Trophy Winner

Sarah Edwards, M.D., a current emergency medicine resident at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, won the 1997 Wendy’s Heisman Trophy as the nation’s best female high school athlete. Sarah was an outstanding high school basketball player in the state of Tennessee and went on to play college basketball at the University of Tennessee under legendary coach Pat Summit.
