Dermatology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine is a young and rapidly growing department providing the highest caliber clinical care for patients, top-notch training for future practitioners of dermatology, and a productive setting for basic and applied research on diseases of the skin. The department has a number of special clinical programs and specialties that began in 1986 under the direction of Joseph L. Jorizzo, M.D.
