Clinical Screening Offerings

We offer a variety of clinical screenings that can be added to the Health  Risk Appraisal for further health risk identification.  Since employees can be screened at the worksite, the interruption in valuable work time is minimal.  In addition to the health risk appraisal, clinical screenings are the first step to assessing the overall health of your employees.  We provide valuable feedback and educational information to participants.  All results are kept confidential.

Pre-Screening Services

Prior to the health screening, Corporate Health Services will meet with the employer to discuss the screening process and develop the best program based on your needs.  We are also available to assist clients in developing promotional flyers and sign-up sheets.

Screening Tests

Most of our screenings require a finger-stick.  Individuals are tested using the Cholestech LDX System.  The Cholestech gives you the same level of accuracy and precision that you can expect from a clinical lab and results are provided in five minutesThis is the most convenient method to provide during a workday.  This system is available for fasting and non-fasting tests.  LDL and triglyceride testing is recommended in a fasting state.  Immediate results allow health professionals to detect isolated health risk and provide on-site counseling.   Additional lipid and prostate specific antigen (PSA) screenings are available by a blood draw sample and fasting is required.  All results from our blood venipuncture screenings are mailed to participants within two weeks.

Worksite health screenings can take a variety of forms.  Common screening components may include:

  • Blood pressure and heart rate
  • Cholesterol (typically a finger-stick test, either fasting or non-fasting)
  • Blood glucose (diabetes screening)
  • Height and weight
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Fitness level
  • Bone Density
