Cancer Treatment
The Comprehensive Cancer Center of Wake Forest University (CCCWFU) is a national leader in
cancer treatment and research. Ranked among the best cancer treatment facilities in the country, it is one of only 38 cancer treatment centers in the nation designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) as a Comprehensive Cancer Center.
NCI designation is an assurance of excellent care and comprehensive cancer treatment options, including access to the latest clinical trials for cancer treatment. These trials provide an entree to the leading edge of medical treatment.
It also means that the Comprehensive Cancer Center of Wake Forest University is carrying out innovative research in the basic sciences, cancer treatment and prevention and cancer control, in addition to implementing outreach and education strategies designed to inform the public of advances in cancer research.
