Tuition & Stipend

An applicant who meets the requirements for admission to the Graduate School and the program will be recommended for admission to the Dean of the Graduate School.  Along with the acceptance into the program, a Graduate Fellowship will be awarded per year.  This fellowship is currently $48,057 (year 2007-2008) and consists of a stipend (currently $20,772 per year) and a tuition scholarship ($27,285).  The Graduate Fellowship may be renewed annually for the duration of the graduate education, provided that the academic standards of the program and the Graduate School are being met. Every effort will be made to have stipends for second year and higher level students provided by research advisors, usually through their research grants.

Every student will receive a new IBM ThinkPad upon entering the program.

All students are required to have health insurance coverage.  You may choose to purchase the health insurance plan offered by the University.  The current monthly cost is $183.19, of which $150.00 is currently covered by the Graduate school.
