Current Research:

    By using various approaches such as genetic linkage studies, family-based and population-based association studies, and molecular positional cloning technique, our lab focuses on prostate cancer gene mapping.

     My project is: 1.To identify somatic PTEN mutations/sequence variants in sporadic prostate cancer subjects. We will also evaluate the functional impact of the mutations/sequence variants by measuring the expression of mRNA and protein levels, as well as by assessing any alterations in protein functions. 2. To assess the interaction effect between PTEN deletion and genomic alterations of other genes in hereditary/non-hereditary prostate cancer.

Hobbies – Other: aerobics exercise, hip-hop dance, swimming, cooking.
