Directions from Virginia Tech to the Wake Forest University School of Medicine 

• I-81 S toward BRISTOL to I-77 S via exit number 81 toward Charlotte.
• Merge onto I-74 E via exit number 101- on the left- toward Mt. Airy
• I-74 E becomes US-52 S. 
• Merge onto I-40 BR W via exit number 109B toward Statesville
• Take the Cloverdale Ave exit – exit 4A.
• At the bottom of the ramp, merge right.
• Go to the first stop light and turn left (this is the main entrance Rd. to the Medical Center).
• Follow the signs to visitor parking.

Directions from Blacksburg to the Wingate Inn

(125 S. Main St.; Winston-Salem, NC  27101 / 336-714-2800) 

• I-81 S toward BRISTOL to I-77 S via exit number 81 toward CHARLOTTE.
• Merge onto I-74 E via exit number 101- on the left- toward MOUNT AIRY.
• I-74 E becomes US-52 S.                                  
• Merge onto I-40 BR W via exit number 109B toward STATESVILLE.
• Take the Main Street exit - exit 4D.
• At the top of the ramp turn right (the Wingate Inn is on your right)
• The Wingate Inn is at the top of the ramp on the right. 

Medical Center to Wingate Inn

• Depart Medical Center onto I40 Business Route East / US 421 East
• Take EXIT 5D toward OLD SALEM.
• Keep LEFT at the fork in the ramp, this places you on S. Main St.
• As you cross the bridge over I40 the Wingate Inn is on the right 

Wingate Inn to Medical Center 

• Turn right from the Wingate parking lot onto S. Main St.
• At the first stoplight turn left onto S. Liberty St. (get in the far right lane)
• Merge onto I40 Business Route / US 421 North
• Take Exit 4A – Cloverdale Ave
• At the bottom of the ramp – merge right onto Cloverdale Ave
• At the next stoplight turn left onto Medical Center Blvd (this is the main entrance road to the Medical Center
• Follow the signs to visitor parking

Directions from Wake Forest University Health Sciences to

Virginia Tech 

• US-52 N towards Mt. Airy
• Merge onto I-74-W toward I-77 / Wytheville (exit on the left)
• Merge onto I-81 N via exit 32 toward Roanoke
• Take Exit 118 to reach the exit ramps for all three of the exits at this location. (There is only one exit ramp serving the exits; missing the ramp means a trip north to Exit 128 or south to Exit 114 to turn around.)
• Take Exit 118B onto U.S. 460 West. (This exit connects directly to the Christiansburg Bypass. Follow the signs for Blacksburg/Virginia Tech. The new U.S. 460 bypass between Blacksburg and Christiansburg is open to traffic, creating a limited-access highway from I-81 to the campus entrance at Southgate Drive.
• Watch signs carefully for routes and directions. From the new bypass, you will come to a branch. The South Main Street exists to the right and takes you downtown. Stay on U.S. 460 West, signed for "Virginia Tech, Bluefield" to continue directly to the university.
• Drive for 2.5 miles on U.S. 460 to the traffic light at VA 314, Southgate Drive.
• Turn right onto Southgate Drive.
• There is a campus map a quarter-mile on the right and the Visitor Information Center is a half-mile from U.S. 460 on the right.
• To continue to Randolph Hall 114V, School of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences: Take the first left onto Duck Pond Drive. (Off of Southgate Drive)
• Take the next right onto Washington Street
• Take the next left onto West Campus Drive.
• Drive past the central drill field (on your right), and take a right on Perry Street. (There is a very large parking lot on the left side of Perry Street. You can access Randolph Hall by walking up between Cowgill Hall and Derring Hall.)
