9th Annual Employee Juried Art Exhibition 2008
July, August, September 2008 - Medical Center - Visual & Performing Arts
ELIGIBILITY:
Ø Open to artists from the entire Wake Forest University and Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center community that encompasses employees, students, faculty, retired employees, volunteers and affiliates. (Family members are not eligible.)
Ø Only two dimensional works, ready to hang, in any media, produced in the last 5 years
PRESENTATION:
Ø Work may not exceed 60" x 60" or 50 lbs. in weight
Ø All work must be framed and ready to hang with wire across the back
ENTRY INFORMATION: ( PLEASE FOLLOW EACH STEP COMPLETELY )
Ø Judging will be by either slides or photographs - no framed originals
Ø A maximum of 3 slides or photos, for 3 works of art, may be submitted for judging
Ø Entry form is to be filled out completely for each piece submitted and sent with the submission
Ø Some value is required for insurance purposes even if work is not for sale
Ø Each slide or photo must be identified with the following: artist name, medium, dimensions and top
Ø Enclose an interoffice mail or regular U.S. postage, Self Addressed Envelope to have slides or photos returned to you
Ø Submit to Beverly FitzGerald, Creative Communications, via interoffice mail by Tuesday, May 27th, 2008
SALES:
Ø Artists may sell work privately
Ø Work sold must remain hanging until the show's end
CASH AWARDS FOR PHOTO-ART AND HAND-ART CATEGORIES:
Ø First Prize in Photo-Art - $225 First Prize in Hand-Art - $225
Ø Second Prize in Photo-Art - $125 Second Prize in Hand-Art - $125
Ø Third Prize in Photo-Art - $75 Third Prize in Hand-Art - $75
CALENDAR:
Ø Exhibit dates - July, August, September 2008
Ø Slide/Photo submission DEADLINE –THURSDAY MAY 1st TO WEDS., MAY 28th (No Exceptions)
Ø Notification of work accepted - by mid June
Ø Deliver accepted work to Creative Communications, 1st Gray, by THURSDAY, JUNE 26TH (No Exceptions)
Ø Closing of Exhibit / Artists Pick-Up Date, FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 26TH FROM 1:00 TO 3:00 PM
