The weight loss surgery information session is conducted by Dr. "Fuzz" Fernandez and Dr. Stephen McNatt, and describes the process for weight loss surgery evaluation, the risks and benefits of surgery, and explains the nutritional needs, exercise commitment, and follow-up expectations. Classes are offered bimonthly and will last approximately 90 minutes.  Family or friends are welcome to attend. Pre-registration is not required.

Seminar time:  5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Location:  The Kitty Hawk Room is on the 1st floor of the Piedmont Plaza One building located at 1920 West First Streetin Winston-Salem. The Piedmont Plaza One building is located between the First Community Bank (on the corner of Miller Street) and the Winston-Salem Rehabilitation facility. Exterior signs identify the building as Wake Forest Family and Community Medicine.

Directions:

Westbound on I-40 business, take exit 4B, West First Street.  At the light, turn left onto West First Street and continue past the Hardee's (on the left), through the stoplight, approximately 0.3 miles. The Piedmont Plaza One building is on the left with free parking available in the front.

Eastbound on I-40 business, take exit 3B, turn left on South Stratford Road.  Travel approximately 0.3 miles (through the intersection with the large banks).  The Piedmont Plaza One building will be on the right with free parking available in the front.
